VW returns to the Superbowl with another Star Wars themed spot. We would like to give a shout out to our talent, Bolt, who was absolutely amazing on set.
A classic from our vaults. We collaborated with Stylewar and used a mix of CG and shot elements to create the world’s largest pop up book.

Patrick Murphy joined a52 in January 2000, and quickly emerged as one of the industry’s strongest graphic design and visual effects artists. After beginning his career as an assistant at London’s Red Post Production in 1995, by virtue of his innovative thinking and his unique contributions to many high-profile commercials and promos, Pat quickly became one of the company’s leading Inferno/Flame artists, producing award-winning visual effects on projects for many major European and global brands. At a52, Pat has developed close working relationships with many of the world’s foremost directors working in commercials, music videos and television, by partnering with them during the pitch process and developing unique, project-winning ideas and techniques… and then seeing the resulting projects through to masterful completion.
An artful craftsman well known for designing extraordinary composites that elegantly resolve technical challenges while adding intriguing dimensions to visual stories, he also stands behind many award-winning television and feature film main title sequences. Among scores of successful, award-winning projects, Pat has united his talents with many high profile directors on brands such as Acura, Infiniti, Monster.com, Travelers and Nike.
